Since past many years Celebrity fashion has been the core of Fashion Industry, right from what they wear to what they eat… Everything becomes a craze for the youth who follows it meticulously. Be It Britney or Lady Gaga.. COPY THEM is the hype for the people who want to stay Stylish..Is that fashion is all about? Lets find out…
Yesterday I was traveling in the most famous Mumbai Local (for those who didnt catch that, mumbai local is the local train plying across the vast city of Mumbai with tons and tons of common public commuting from one corner of the city to other..if you actually see them packed together in the peak hours of local you wont be able to make out one person from other… it is such a scenario) Well Mumbaikars are born to adapt that though… Coming to the point, I could make out various style statements (Individual Style Icons) of these Common Gals who could be hardly called Common. And Mind It, none of it seemed copied or similar.. Each one had her own sense of Style and carried it Elegantly with great confidence.. This made me rethink my earlier statement.. Fashion is not just a Celebrity Fashion.. Fashion is what inside us,, each one of us has his/her own creativity to look their best…NOT Forgetting that “ITS NOT TRENDS THAT MAKES US, ITS WE WHO MAKE TRENDS”… And I decided to put up their Style Statements on my Blog…So here we GO!

Summer is on its best in India, and so is the fashion of skirts. Last week I went to a store to buy one for myself.. but on second thoughts I just felt like taking inspiration from what I saw there and created smthing of my own bundle of un-used clothes that have been stocking up ever since I have started to puton a little weight… I understand this problem is faced by every women in India and abroad.. After a frivilous search in my closet this is what I came up with. A once upon a time cute top turned out to be a fat emphasizer shapeless top.. It really looked as if i had delibrately got into someone else’s clothes..
Lately I came across a beautiful white georgette saree of my mom, which I always loved but could never gather up the courage to wear it. The saree has these beautiful pink hand-work judas all over it, but the pattern seems old fashion 😦 So everytime I thought I will drape it, I just couldnt find it proper enough to go out with it….No doubt the saree is adorable but a complete no-no for any function…..
So I worked it up with some nice matching lace , restyled it and came up with beautiful and gorgeous overlap Dress too adorable and lovely to wear.. I am sure my mom will like the transformation,,,

A weary old tshirt can be re-fashioned to give a funky look, by adding something new to it..
Here a lighter shaded old tshirt is used to make these ruffles for the t-shirt to give it a new look, one can use a mix of colour here and make a bold statement by teaming black and red/orange.. and create a new zing..
One can put a bow, a belt a lace on such plain t-shirts and make them look fresh.. You can also cut it up fro the top to make it off-shoulder and then attach an elastic to it so that i stays in place giving you a bolder look.
Same way you can restyle your shirt by adding big metal buttons or a satin flower to it. you can cut up the sleeves if you want to make it look completely different…
You could team it up with bold colours like coral red and peapod green .. Also You can wear it over a summer dress to give a bolder touch to a delicate outfit…
Other alternatives are removing the collars and using it as a denim shrug.. Cutting up the borders into a round shape or other geometrical shape rather than a flat one would also spice up your jacket….

This old sweater is restyled into a new shrug by cutting of the trunk part of the sweater and putting up a big safety pin as a holder.. one can use a beautiful broach as well to add more glamour to it.. and can be teamed up with bold colour t-shirts.. One should keep in mind to use the proper colours.. If your worn out outfits are faded use bright colours with them to give them a new look..
This old out dated cardigan is turned into a fresh one.. with a touch of glitter to it and few crafts on the material… It seems great and doesnt look very difficult to try it at home.. Simple stiches of a vibrant colour are taken and strips cut out from the middle button-up are used as loops.. rest of the material is used to make a cute flower to be added at the top.. This gives a real make-over to the dull cardigan…
This days the recycle fashion seems to rock India too.. One can wear one and the same clothes many times just by Restyling them a bit….. Mostly it happens that a saree taken long time back seems out dated due to the pattern of its blouse.. All you have to do is Restyle your blouse and that will give your saree a completely new look and you can wear it endlessly by teaming it up with different colours and pattern of the blouses.. by changing the way you drape your saree… and it will give your old saree a completely new look..
You can restyle the blouse by making the neck deep, making it backless, by cutting up an old full-sleeved blouse into an off shoulder or drooping shoulders pattern.. you can remove the plain elbow length sleaves and make puff-sleeves instead… or make them completely sleevles…Change the pattern of the neck by getting deeper and bolder cuts.. The Sweetheart cut gives a good makeover to an old semicircle shape…Here are some examples of Cuts that you can use…
